Draw With Me | January 27, 2023
You are invited to Draw With Me LIVE on Friday, JANUARY 27.
For the next two DWMs, we’re going to be illustrating what I call Object Stories. We’ll learn more about it on Friday, but an Object Story is a picture of a collection of objects that tell a story. An example of this is the postcard project in my class, Inky Illustrations. See image below for an example.
In Part One (Jan 27) we will begin with planning and sketching our illustrations. In Part Two (sometime in February) we will flesh them out in a more finished illustration style.
This is my first time trying an entire illustration project as a DWM project. My goal is to make it fast enough to create in two 1-hour sessions, but at very least, we’ll get started all together — this may end up becoming homework for some folks though! You’ve been warned 😉!

What Will We Do?
I have a fun, guided illustration project to go through with all of you. It’s simple and accessible (yet still challenging) to artists/non artists of all levels.
What Do We Need to Bring?
Part 1 (Jan 27): Just have your favourite pencil or drawing supplies and a sketchbook/plain paper. iPads are okay too. That’s it!
Part 2 (Date TBD): We will be making final illustrations from our sketches. Use your go-to illustration tools, whether that’s photoshop, procreate, or some kind of physical media.
